Mastersuite is pleased to welcome Corey Levesque. Corey studied guitar and upright bass while completing his degree in Sound Recording Technology from The University of Massachusetts Lowell. Before throwing himself headlong into the mastering specialty, Corey worked in recording, mixing, live broadcast and sound reinforcement; for 91.5 WUML where he mixed "A Wilhelm Scream" among other artists for broadcast, and for our sister company, Metronome Media group, where he has worked on remote recording projects featuring Counting Crows, Government Mule, and Ani DiFranco. He also was selected to work a 2-month contract with NBC in Vancouver for the broadcast of the 2010 Olympic games.
Corey's recent projects include mastering, mixing, and recording for New York bandleader, Ben Geyer, and his sextet. Ben's new album contains serious jazz compositions that reflect his experience and study at SUNY Purchase, where he earned his Master of Music degree. Corey also mastered the debut EP for Boston-based band, The Neighbors, and has recently completed CDs for the bands, Merrimack Delta Dub Set, and Bearstronaut. Additionally, has completed masters classes at Harmonix Inc. to become one of a small number of Harmonix-trained authoring engineers for Rock Band Network. Corey's affordable rates bring mastering at a top-notch facility within reach of a wider circle of independent artists. Continuing to work closely with chief engineer, Jay Frigoletto, Corey is an ever-expanding repository of mastering knowledge.
